Christ Church and its parsonage were built in 1835 on what is now Meadows Avenue at a cost of £800. This cost was met by the then Lordof the Manor Peter Hesketh Fleetwood, shortly before he began his grand plan to build Fleetwood which almost bankrupted him. |
